Huge 12-15 foot surf (Hawaiian scale) pounded the North Shore today for the first day of the Pipeline Masters. The Pipe Masters is the 3rd and final jewel of the Triple Crown of Surfing. Wave faces up to 30 feet provided spectacular barrels, scary wipeouts, and numerous broken boards.
